Food Pantries

The Enhance Hamilton County Foundation is passionate about providing assistance to stock the shelves of the five local food pantries located throughout Hamilton County. To date, we have raised over $106,000 for the food pantries serving Hamilton County. It is estimated that the food pantries in Hamilton County serve over 160 families each month.

Here is a list of the food pantries in Hamilton County:

  • Upper Des Moines Opportunity (1610 Collins Street, Webster City | 515-832-6451) serves Hamilton County, has income eligibility and is open on Wednesday from 8 AM – 3 PM.
  • Trinity Lutheran Church Food Pantry (1229 Kathy Lane, Webster City | 515-832-2220) serves the county and is open on Monday, Thursday from 1 – 3 PM, and Friday from 10 AM – 12 PM. Closed on holidays. Requirements for assistance are proof of address, information on individuals living in the household, and gross monthly income. Must be eligible for WIC and SNAP.  These are the requirements from the Food Bank of Iowa as items are purchased from them monthly.
  • St. Paul Lutheran Church (1005 Beach Street, Webster City | 515-832-3043) is open every Tuesday (except the third Tuesday) from 4 – 6 PM.
  • Asbury/ACE Food Pantry (637 Second Street, Webster City | 515-832-4153) is open the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 11 AM – 1 PM.
  • The Lord’s Cupboard (Bethesda Lutheran Church, 701 Main Street, Jewell | 5151-827-5148) is open every Monday from 5 – 6:30 PM.
  • Stratford Food Pantry/Athens Woods (805 Shakespeare Ave, Stratford | 515-838-2080) is open some Saturdays – call Athens Woods for dates and times.

  • Jewell Mobile Food Pantry (439 Main Street, Jewell | 515-827-5148) distribution on the 4th Tuesday of every other month (January, March, May…) from 4:30 – 6 PM.

  • Webster City Mobile Pantry (1610 Collins Street, Webster City | 515-835-1604) distribution on the 3rd Tuesday every other month (February, April, June…) from 3 – 5 PM.

  • Webster City Mobile Pantry (1005 Beach Street, Webster City | 515-832-1190) distribution on the 3rd Tuesday of every other month (January, March, May…) from 3 – 5 PM.
