2022 FOOD PANTRY CHALLENGE DEADLINE IS END OF SEPTEMBER

The Food Pantry Challenge put on by the Enhance Hamilton County Foundation is in its final weeks for 2022 and is $4,858 away from reaching its goal of $24,000 between charitable donations and match funds. All charitable gifts will be matched dollar-for-dollar through the end of September.

Donations are accepted via checks and should be made out to the Enhance Hamilton County Foundation with the name of the food pantry to support in the memo line. If no particular food pantry is desired, it will be evenly divided among the six food pantries currently supported.  Those food pantries include: Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, and All Cultures Equal/Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City. In Jewell, The Lord’s Cupboard and the Food Pantry in Stratford.

Checks can be mailed or dropped off at the Enhance Hamilton County Foundation office (501 Bank Street, Webster City, IA 50595). If the office is closed, you can put your donation in the Enhance Hamilton County Foundation secure drop box located in the entry way of the building.

This dollar-for-dollar Food Pantry Challenge match is in its third year because of an anonymous donor who stepped forward and donated $10,000 each year to be used as part of the match. The EHCF Board added their annual $2,000 match funds to make the total to match $12,000. In 2020, $24,750 was raised to benefit the local food pantries in Hamilton County with $25,772 raised last year.
