In January 2020, an anonymous donor contacted the Enhance Hamilton County Foundation and said they wanted to open a fund where they and others could make a charitable donation to assist with renovations and improvements to city-owned parks and recreation facilities. As a result, the Friends of Webster City Parks and Recreation fund was established.

Donations to this fund have assisted with the new playground at East Twin Parks as well as improvements at West Twin Parks, Wehrheim Park, Lions Park and for use where best needed.

The East Twin Park is gearing up for Phase II of renovations and will focus on the addition of a pickleball court and restrooms. Charitable donors can assist with these improvements by making a donation to the fund managed by the Enhance Hamilton County Foundation.

Donations can be mailed (or dropped off) at the Enhance Hamilton County Foundation located at 501 Bank Street, Webster City, IA 50595. Checks can be made payable to: Friends of WC Parks and Recreation Fund. Online donations are also accepted by going to the following link:

There are no fees assessed to charitable donors making a gift to this fund (or any fund under the Enhance Hamilton County Foundation’s management) unless you are choosing to donate online. One-hundred percent (100%) of all donations are directly deposited into the fund.

Online donations are assessed a 3.5% fee to cover the secure credit card processing fee. The EHCF asks that if you donate online that you consider including an additional 3.5% to your contribution so that 100% of your contribution benefits the Friends of Webster City Parks Fund.
