Community Roundtable gives a platform for nonprofits and causes to share

The Enhance Hamilton County Foundation held its first monthly Community Roundtable program on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at the Fuller Hall Recreation Center in Webster City, hosted by the Webster City Parks and Recreation. This roundtable event gives nonprofits and causes around Hamilton County an opportunity to share about their organizations and to connect and collaborate with others.

“We were thrilled with the response to our first Community Roundtable and found the event to be very informative. The sole purpose of this roundtable is to give our nonprofits and causes a platform to share their stories,” said Darcy Swon, Enhance Hamilton County Foundation Development Director. “We encourage the public to attend and hope that businesses and individuals will join us so they can learn more about how they can provide support to these groups whether it is financially or through volunteering. They can also learn a lot about what is going on throughout Hamilton County and there is a lot going on.”

An estimated 30 people were in attendance on Tuesday morning and heard updates from the following organizations:

  • Webster City Parks and Recreation
  • BEE Inspired CAAP Program
  • Webster City Community Theatre
  • Jewell Historical Society
  • Hamilton County Animal AdvoCATes
  • Arts R Alive
  • Financial Literacy Council Greater Hamilton County
  • Stratford Development Corporation
  • Jane Young House
  • Youth and Shelter Services
  • South Hamilton Community School District

Going forward, the meetings will be held on the fourth Tuesday morning of each month and will last an hour. Presenters will be limited to the host and eight (8) additional speakers with each having five (5) minutes to share information.

The meeting location will change each month and be announced on the EHCF’s website and Facebook page as well as through a press release sent to local media.

If you would like to host the event, reserve a spot on the agenda, or have questions regarding the Community Roundtable, please contact Swon by calling 515-835-0437 or via email at dswon@enhancehamiltoncounty.org.
